Why people in Albuquerque call Doug

Will my doctor take this plan? What will I actually pay when I'm sick?

Most Medicare questions come down to money and doctors. Doug answers those questions in plain English, using 41 years of real claims experience instead of a sales script.

Because Medigap Options is independent, Doug represents multiple carriers and gets paid the same either way. His only job is to find the plan that fits your health, your doctors and your budget.

Turning 65 or new to Medicare?

Your Initial Enrollment Period runs seven months: three before your birthday month, the month itself, and three after. Miss it and you can face a lifetime Part B penalty.

If you're within a year of 65, or leaving employer coverage, talk to Doug now and the whole thing takes one conversation.

Already on a plan? Don't overpay this year.

Plans change every January. Premiums go up, drug formularies change, and doctors leave networks. Doug does a free annual review for every client during the fall enrollment window so you're never stuck in a plan that stopped fitting.

About the annual review

Common questions

Does it cost anything to work with a Medicare broker?

No. Medigap Options is paid by the carrier when you enroll, and the commission is the same whichever plan you choose. You pay nothing extra versus enrolling on your own.

What's the difference between Medigap and Medicare Advantage?

Medigap adds to Original Medicare and works with any doctor who takes Medicare. Medicare Advantage replaces how you use Medicare through a private network plan. Doug compares both for you.

Can I switch Medigap plans later in New Mexico?

Yes, but after your six-month open enrollment window most carriers in New Mexico ask health questions before accepting you. Doug pre-screens that before you apply.
